10代よりギターリストとして活動。
音響的な即興演奏に徹する形を取り、独自のBLUESスタイルを貫き通すプレイには定評がある。
音楽への情熱をより多くの人と共有する為に1999年より6年間に渡って渋谷clubasia、vuenos tokyoライブタイムの立ち上げ・発展に努める。

「あらゆるジャンルの音楽をクラブミュージックのフィルターに通す」
をコンセプトに数多くのイベントオーガナイザーとしても活動。
その時期から継続されているイベント「VERVE」は現在もmalvaの看板イベントとなっている。
2005年より今までの音楽遍歴を昇華させるべくDJとして活動開始。
DJ MAUのルーツは、あらゆる年代・ジャンルのバンドサウンドを聴いていたことにある。
MAUが参加しているバンド「tokorodokoro」の音源がCOA recordsより
リリースされている。（clubasia compilation album）
そして2007年にMAU名義では初の音源をmalvaよりリリース。

MAU tried for the development of the club as a manager of Shibuya clubasia for six years from 1999 to share passion to the music with more people.
He is active as an event organizer in a concept to "pass the music of every genre in a filter of the club music" at the same time.
Event "VERVE" continued from the time becomes the main event of malva now.
He has the activity start done as track maker and DJ to sublime the current music wandering in 2005.
The roots of DJ MAU is to have heard the band sound of every generation / genre.
A sound source of band "tokorodokoro" which MAU participates in is released than COA records.
And he releases the first sound source than malva with the MAU name in 2007.
